As the self confessed non-politico that I am, Mark Thomas is my big exception. I'm an uber fan, as such expect a hint of bias in the book review.
Following on from his first book where he took on the arms trade, this book follows Marks crusade to spill the beans on an evil trade that destroys lives and communities the world over. He's hunting down Coca-Cola.
I love this book and thanks to the film co-op I was pre-educated on some of the issues that I previously knew nothing about, for example he visits the Chiapas region as part of a trip to Mexico to look at coke's impact there.
If I have to pick fault, it doesn't seem as well edited as the last book and there are those little things like the wrong word in the middle of a sentence that can wrench you right out of a story but if you can get past this minor flaw it's worth the read.
Funny and touching and potentially slimming with health benefits as it could stop you having a coke ever again.
