I sadly missed the best part of the meeting but fortunately as usual Giles was on hand to keep notes and send them round. Here's the scoop.

Hi all

Good meeting on Tuesday, thanks. Some notes, of sorts:

On the issue of the next theme, Michael's composed some words about the political violence theme, which have been sent to all members already. See other email. Although we initially thought we should go with this theme rather than get other inputs, Andy M has (rightly) pointed out that we need to ask other people for their themes too, otherwise they might get a bit disgruntled about the lack of democracy, so I sent an email to all members asking if they had other themes. I've asked people to email back by the 16th Jan, and then we can get people's preferences either by email or by the forum. Once we've done that we can start getting film suggestions for the seelcted theme (whether it's political violence or not).

Other key suggestion was the organisational meetings be moved for the next few months to Mondays as Phoebe and others were going to struggle with Tuesdays, so it will be same time same place but on Mondays. I hope this will be OK for everyone else who couldn't make it to the last meeting (maybe because it was on a Tuesday?).

Andy M is drafting an email about the next film which we'll send as soon he's done it.

John is trying to get Charlie Baker to speak at  Garbage warrior and I've asked someone from ArcSpace. John - any news on whether Charlie can do it?

Cheers

Giles

And there's a new section on the forum home page where you can suggest a theme.
